SANTO DOMINGO.- The doctors and other health sector unions managed to paralyze services in all public hospitals in the first two days of a national strike, staged to demand a 40 percent wage increase.

The doctors and other professionals of the Public Health and Dominican Social Security Institute hospitals on strike arrived to work early but didn’t enter their offices, and instead stood in front, where they stayed during the morning hours.

In others hospitals the physicians marched in the surrounding areas which prompted the support of patients and pedestrians, while the authorities insist that there are no conditions to increase salaries.

The strike led hospital managers, aided by the military doctors, to follow the instructions of Health minister Bautista Rojas and attended the patients present.

My question is if he decides to do all of that. who do you thing will be hurt? of course the masses not the rich so by fear mongering think doesn't get resolve look what happen to USA. stoke in a war forever i guess. el presidente using tactic that could back fire. I wish he remember that this is not balager time.

HAHAHA.

As soon as you revoke the 1st license the rest will come running back. The fact that they are doctors on Strike shows that they have no honor.

NO HONOR!?!?!?!?!?!? Do you know what kind of salary they make, they make less than the hotel workers. The deserve a pay increase!! More power to them

So?
I make more money than a Teacher or a Cop and they should never go on strike either.

They chose to become Doctors. They knew the score.
They are Doctors. They have a reponsibility.

There is a general strike today in France also.
