SANTO DOMINGO.- From February 2 to March the Supreme Court’s Law Penal Chamber has issued 10 arrest warrants against 10 Dominicans wanted by the U.S. in extradition and implicated in the case of Quirino Paulino, the High court said officially.
Supreme Court president Jorge Subero, quoted by newspaper El Dia, said the Penal Chamber issued four arrest warrants on February 2 against as many Dominicans wanted in extradition, against five others on March 13 and one more on the 17th.
The specifics of the warrants aren’t made public until the suspects are detained, to prevent difficulties in those arrests, stemming from the 1,387 kilos of cocaine seized on December, 2004, which led to Paulino’s arrest.
The United States has requested the extradition of a yet-to-be determined number of Dominicans implicated in the case of Paulino, who is being held in a New York prison.
Of that group the first arrested is Ernesto Bienvenido Guevara Diaz (Maconi), whose extradition request is slated to be heard Wednesday.
The United States, aside from the Paulino case, has filed other charges against him.

Good news! I guess I can give one "At-a-boy" to US DEA (now, you know this does not happen often).

You don't honestly think they are going to give up the big fish yet, they are throwing pawns into the game. Lets see how long it takes to reel in the full 21 requested two weeks back or even more.
Do you not think people are being paid or told to delay on the 21 warrants awaiting to being issued, some of these people are friends with the great man himself. That would be embarrassing would it not should it ever come out.
The more money you have longer your season pass lasts in "Fernando's World".

Been here enough helping the women rights to learn majority of men in this country have no respect for order, law, work and education. DR is no where close to a functioning democracy. There's corruption everywhere, including here in the almighty USA. We see it on TV now on a daily basis. Teenage pregnancy? We have one of the highest in the world. Drug and substance abuse? Why do you think that we have so many people tripping over each other to get this coveted illegal substance into the US? If we didn't crave it, there wouldn't be a market. It's simply, "oferta y demanda" ("supply and demand'). Let's not forget that this country was also built with the sweat of slaves. Blacks got the right to vote (officially became human beings) just a few years ago.
