Santo Domingo.– It took months of negotiations after Chevron and the Fuel Truckers Union could finally sign a definitive agreement that states the multinational will pay RD$19 million in benefits and compensation to the truckers.

The deal, signed by Rosanna Grullon on behalf of Chevron and Clemente Morillo, head of the fuel truckers union, also agreed to rehire some of the drivers.

Grullon said that although Chevron did not have a contractual obligation, it decided to sign the agreement.
