Baní, Dominican Republic. – A Peravia province judge yesterday sent the brother of Jose Luis Montas (El Duro Motors) to Najayo Prison on charges of transporting in a minibus the cocaine linked to the August 4, 2008, killings of seven Colombians in Paya, Baní (south).
Permanent Attention judge Rafael Darío Tejeda sent Victor Manuel Montas to three months in prison, a decision his lawyer Marino Feliz Rodriguez said they’ll appeal.
The police arrested Montas last Thursday and sent to the antinarcotics agency for interrogation into the killings of the drug traffickers, a case in which already have been arrested José Luis Montás, Luis Lara, Police major Frederick Guillermo Medina; Noé Martín Sterling (La Chalupa or El Loco), the Colombian Andrés Berroa (El Capi or Frank, or René Rueda Martínez); Quilvio Santana Féliz, Pedro González (Chicho), Alexander Carmona Restrepo (El Flaco), Joaquín Féliz Pérez (El Colorao) and Félix Mora Terrero (Félix).
