Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic . - A Canadian tourist drowned while swimming in the beach of the tourist resort Costa Dorada, said the North Region Police Command.
The victim is Carol Boudreau, 67, who was in room 6215 of the hotel Ibero Star, together with his wife Micheline Ruest, 66, who were vacationing in the area of Puerto Plata.
Miguel Mercedes, the coroner in the case, said the foreigner died of asphyxia by submersion.
Micheline Ruest said her husband went for a swim in the beach in front of the hotel and was later found drowned by guests of the hotel where they stayed.
The police said Boudreau’s body was sent to the National Forensic Science Institute in Santo Domingo, as part of the legal procedures.

When I see Canadian tourists, they are the ones that are fat. Most of the women are fat with nasty tatoos all streched out! Also, you said that Americans are fat and lazy??? This does not make since. Americans are made of people from all contries and we work more hours than most contries... Get your facts in order...
I've been to the beach there and its really nice. real nice hotel.
It's sad because this guy had wife and family. Something that is dear to all of us!
