NEW YORK.- San Pedro province (east) ruling PLD party senator Alejandro Williams today declined to comment on the accusations of intimidation by several journalists in Dominican Republic as well as in New York, including Dominican Journalists Guild (CDP) commissioner Adalberto Dominguez, of newspapers El Nacional and Hoy, after a private detective went to his house to ask about his research on the case of the legislator and investigation into an alleged Medicaid fraud.

Dominguez said he tried to contact Williams yesterday through his senior aide, who said Williams would not comment on denunciations by the reporers, including Listin Diario’s senior editor Maria I. Soldevila, Margarita Cordero of Web newspaper 7días.com.do, and Norma Sheppard, of Radio Mil.

Domínguez said with Williams agreed to meet him in his dental clinic on University Avenue in the Bronx at 10 p.m., but when he arrived at the office, there was nobody there and it had already been closed.

Williams’ adviser, who manages a clinic property of the senator in Queens and who requested anonymity, said the legislator will say everything he has to say in Santo Domingo.

The lawmaker, whom national media reported as being at the center of an investigation into an alleged Medicaid fraud in the millions of dollars, reportedly hired private detectives to questions the sources which have disclosed the alleged probe as yet unconfirmed, since Medicaid’s Criminal Division doesn’t divulge the details of an ongoing investigation.

"Williams’ adviser, who manages a clinic property of the senator in Queens and who requested anonymity, said the legislator will say everything he has to say in Santo Domingo."

Translation: He will say nothing because he never is in the RD...

i dont like this guy myself, for other reasons...but the last part is true...."since Medicaid’s Criminal Division doesn’t divulge the details of an ongoing investigation"....how do these reporters know/have/get info about the case????

in the medicaid fraude cases ive read about....no one knows anything untill they swoop down and bust the guilty person...with "bad boyz, bad boyz" music in the background.

and for everyone saying "how can he be a senator of spm when he lives in NY"....well thats not his fault...its the people of SPM's fault who voted for him!!!!!

The people of SPM deserve the person they have elected, in this case Mr. William. It is called democracy. Just like we, here in the USA, deserve the Democratic Congress and President that we have elected ! Enough said. Isn't democracy wonderful?

Plot certainly thickens; if this senator wasn't guilty, then why go through these extreme measures of intimidation and misrepresentation of authority. Based on actions to date, this guy doesn't make a good case for his innocence. Stay tuned.......if he screwed the US govt, he will soon land in a federal prison rooming with a guy named Bubba.

could he be innocent, and in knowing he's innocent he wants to try and find out (or prove) someone is out to get him...so he does his mafia/fbi act to try to get info of who is behind this "conspiracy"........

......only to end up kicking himself in the azz...looking more guilty than ever!!! that would be tragically sweeeeeet!!!!! hahahahahaha

i just hope this p.o.s. is guilty to begin with.

I think D.R. is the only country in the world were are happenning so many unusual things such as elect a politician to represent a province but that person is living and working everyday in other country, however is making a juicy salary . But at the same time that senator probably is guilty of corruption in that foreign country.
Even when we are victim of such injustice?
