SANTO DOMINGO.- The Senate Ethics Commission expects senator Alexander Williams to appear Tuesday morning so he explains why he hired private detectives to "investigate" several journalists on the source of the information that he’s the center of a probe into alleged Medicaid fraud in the United States, through his dental clinics.
Commission president Wilton Guerrero said although Williams rejected the subpoena, alleging he received it via fax in his deontological clinics, he expects him to show up and "show his face."
He reiterated that Williams must appear to respond to the accusations, and cannot adopt an irresponsible attitude.
The representative from San Pedro (East) admitted he contracted the detectives to "investigate" the journalists Margarita Cordero, Maria Isabel Soldevila, Norma Sheppard, Mayra La Paz and Adalberto Domínguez, after their reports on the alleged embezzlement of Medicaid.

First they need to let the medicare thing run its' course. If it is proven to be true, he should be expelled from the Senate and then brought up on corruption charges, Malfeasance, failure to carry out Senate duties etc., etc. This guy should also be made to pay back the entire amount of monies he gained while a Senator as he did not earn them while he was in New York.

I agree texasshoe. This guy is making a mockery of the our country's government and is a poor ambassador of our country to the rest of the world. The longer he is allowed to act this way the worse the rest of the world will think of us. Time for our President to put his country in front of his friendship with this clown!

He's already admitted guilt to one offense and the U.S. Govt. has proof of another offense.
Williams is a poor example to the citizens of both countries as he practices dishonesty, theft of D.R. tax monies and gangster like activities. Doe's he also employ hit men?
How did a person of this caliber become part of the PLD govt.? Is there no screening proscess or is there no pride / shame? I would be willing to bet that he only accepts cash in his dental office if you get my drift.

I set a good example of leaving the public area that I visit cleaner than it was before I arrived at the beach or park. I teach the children in the area that they should not leave garbage in the area also. I do not profess to be a "Garbage Man" or a sanitary engineer. I take offense at your comment that my attitude is the source of the problem.
Further more I am not bored either and am not running away from the issue. I just made a comment that the youth need's to be educated as to how to dispose of garbage so as to break the cycle of generation after generation repeating the same counter productive action.
What great ideas do you have to improve the situation brainiac?

with all that money he has or even more if the medicaid thing is true ...he will just come back to the DR a big hero in the eyes of many...easy big money...the dominican dream....now he can pay off whoever and be a king..... like the steroid baseball players and drug dealers....no one down here really cares what they did...as long as the money comes.
