Welcome Hillary Clinton to the Dominican Republic, the vacation destination that you and Bill have
preferred in the past.
Dominicans in their great majority supported your quest for the presidency and now support
your efforts in the State department.
Haiti needs a lot of aid and be sure to lobby for it, careful about policing that the aid gets to the
intended recipients in whole, not in small parts, as leftovers of local corruption.

How are you? and I agree mon ami.
A lot of persons took undue advantage of the freedom of speech in DT, resorting to slander and insults of the worst kind, maybe trying to have DT start censoring messages before publication, like many other internet newspapers do.
Some irresponsible posters that jumped to be first to say anything, were sort of setting a trend in
cynic, abusive and sadistic commentaries, that sort of polluted the ambiance, giving a bad
example and discouraging future posters as well.
According to a message posted by a DT moderator, Dominican Today prefers to have less activity but of more decency and better quality, and proceeded to ban permanently some posters that were just trolling.
Freedom of speech carries with it some responsibility otherwise it turns into slander.

Roso, I just want to be fair, it appears to me, that you came strong on GC aka Toxi, when Jaci was the obvious agent provocateur.... and creating several aliases. At the end the exchanges have became too personal, negative and fruitless, evidently this caught the attention of DT. If you guys are interested in doing a "no hole barred "TOPIX have no censorship, let me know.

This is so nice :) I had been put off by some of the comments on this site. DT has some interesting coverage, but the comments have tended to be off-topic and extreme.

The problems Haiti faces ARE NOT FROM THE LACK OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH DR, the problems Haiti has are intrinsic to Haiti and these include among many others is the demographic explosion where more than half of the population in Haiti is below 18 years old!
Hillary is mistaken in forging a commonality between two different nations other than sharing a border! The only thing we need to talk about with Haiti is drugs, weapons, contraband, illegal human trafficking, unilateral embargo, environmental destruction, and the importation of species foreign to our flora and fauna!
If you make a mistake of using pressure to push antidominican propaganda or behave as a proHaitian agent (lawyer), you will get boot out! S.O.B.!
We don't need an arbitrator nor a moderator to talk to Haiti! I think we are adult enough to do that by ourselves! This is typical pressure tactics from the stupid KONG up north to push forward African agendas in the Americas!

Subtext is the cumbre in Trinidad where they want to soften up Chavez.
Bill will use the time to compare the women of D.R. to the Trinis.
It's the real agenda, after all, and it could be a close call.

Wow what a bunch of crooks and liars is there any morally motivated politician anywhere. Ni el Padre/Presidente de Paraguay silvio. What has happened to MORAL VALUES WORLDWIDE.

I don't know what Hilary has up her sleeve in pushing for Haitian-Dominican cooperation. Isn't this the job of ambassadors of both Independent countries?

Caonabohayti,
In response to your above question.."Isn't this the job of ambassadors of both independent countries". The answer unfortunately is, *"No"*, not when the USA runs and dominates the entire Western Hemisphere and bullies foreign heads of states & governments into extortive cooperation for the fulffillment of the lobbyist wishes of corporate america. Somehow, I'm not certain in this case, but this always seems to be the end result when the history books are written. Rest assured, it is not for the betterment of the people. USG is the P.I.O. spokesperson for U.S.Corporatocracy. Let's wait and see tomorrow and the following days.
