SANTO DOMINGO.- The Peravia province (south) Instruction Court notified the accusation against Jose Luis Montas (El Duro Motors), one of the main defendants in the murders at Paya, Bani, who criticized the acquittal of ex Police major Frederick Medina Abud despite being in his words "a key piece" in the case, and who called himself as a "scapegoat.”

Montas, accused to hatching and funding the plan to execute the seven Colombians in the village Ojo de Agua, was taken to the court, where he affirmed that "I should be released with Medina Abud."

He accused the investigators of not releasing the documents on the Paya case, in which he describes himself as a "scapegoat."

The court set a hearing for May 14 when it will decide if the case merits a criminal trial against the 25 military and civilians accused of the August 4, 2008, slaughter, which the prosecution affirms resulted from a rip-off of 1,300 kilos of cocaine brought to the country from Colombia, and cash said to be as high as US$13 million.

This is a chance for the media to get more of the truth and print it. Send reporters to visit this guy and get his side of what went on and who was involved. I think he's itching to talk right about now.

If Montas (so called top suspect) had a piece of the pie (Money & Drugs) don't you think he would have used it to pay off someone so as not to be incarcerated. This story will never get out officially. Sen. W. Guerrero knows what went down and most probably has spoken to Montas directly himself. Someone very high up on the ladder is keeping this under his thumb. Veronica, your idea is sound, except if he talks to the press, his family will be in grave danger. That is how these things work. The procurador general, R. Jimenez, also knows the story. He is a intergral part of the obstacle keeping the story quiet.
