SANTO DOMINGO.- Public Health minister Bautista Rojas Thursday announced the installation of special areas in all hospitals across the country to deal with possible swine flu cases.

"Because of the change of alert we must expand the monitoring strategy and adapt s more operative strategy.”
Rojas said he’ll instruct all Regional Health directors to head the application of preventive measures at the ports and airports, and has assigned 70 epidemiologists to maintain a strict vigilance across the country.
The Public Health Minister said 6,875 passengers from different parts of the world had entered the country as of 12 midnight Wednesday, with no signs of carrying the virus.
