Senator Williams defies the Senate.
Zoom Picture

Santo Domingo.- Ruling PLD party senator Alejandro Williams for the second time stood up  the Senate Ethics Commission, which subpoenaed him to hear his version of the charges of harassment the journalists Margarita Cordero, Maria Isabel Soldevila and Norma Sheppard filed against him.

Commission president Wilton Guerrero said the situation with the San Pedro (east) senator was "unbearable and unsustainable."

He said he’ll suggest more drastic sanctions against his colleague." I think that senator Williams isn’t up to the stature of a congressman of the PLD."

The journalists reported that Williams is the target of an allged fraud of Medicaid, through his dental clinics in New York City.

There is only ONE WAY to resolve the problem and that is to disenfranchise the man andreplace him with someone who will act in the interest of the people whom he is SUPPOSED to represent.
Williams has exhibited excessive arrogance and has been extremely uncooperative with the authorities. Such demonstrations are not to be tolerated in a public figure who holds such a position as he.
Can the man and get on with the business of thecountry.

You are so right. If the man will not even submit himself to the own legeslative body for which he works, imagine how he complies with all other aspects of the law which he is supposed to be subject to and uphold. He should be thrown out on his ear!!!!!!!!

Williams is allowed to continue this unacceptable behavior, because he has some "DIRT" on someone very powerful. humm? only the people of the DR can do something about this. All our caustic comments, are us just venting frustration on behalf of many good dominicanos who are stuck in this Circus. I have understood for a long time why "el pueblo" wants to leave the Island, They have no hope. Is it time for a little revolution? As was said earlier, a Chavez like personality will soon be able to step right into power, as the pueblo is ready for the CHANGE! That may be another mistake, but who know?

Wilton Guerrero once again shows that he deserves to be the next president.

If he becomes president, it is possible that we will become the paradise that we can be, instead of the den of thieves that we are currently.

At this point in DR history Wilton Guerrero is the only politician that has the integrity to make DR a real paradise that it can be. I would also like to have Nuria piera some where close to him too. But that's a dream that may never come true to me. Wilton is a patriotic person with the guts that Leonel never had or will ever had. He has a real vision of what DR needs to do. I know Leonel has done good thing bad at what cost is the next question or is it worth it at that cost. I'm a big believer in first Education, 2nd health and infrastructure and seat back and watch investor do the rest of course the gov should make it easy for them too by putting the laws and regulation in place. I will never support a socialist DR.

Are there no longer people with scruples left in the Dominican Republic? Is the moral vacume that is presently impacting our country really that big? Where have all the leaders gone? Heck, I know we're a small island nation, but this issue with this very pretentious insigficant man of little character has dragged on for entirely too long. Seriously, you mean to tell me no government official or entity has the fortitude or political will to deal with this idiot. Man, it's exhausting being a Dominican that loves his country.

How much longer can the hard working Dominicans put up with this lying, corrupt, thieving government. I cannot believe the absolute impunity they operate with and not give a damn about the future of this country!!
