SANTO DOMINGO.- The Public Health Ministry will have medicine available to treat the AH1N1 virus at all clinics and hospitals starting today, although it advised that the will be provided free of charge and their availability will be based on the protocols indicated by the Pan-American Health Organization (OPS).
Public Health minister Bautista Rojas made the announcement and confirmed 10 new cases of the flu, of the 58 which were under investigation.
The new confirmed cases correspond to 9 of 46 cases which were investigated in Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, and one of 12 which was reported in the clinic Corazones Unidos. With these, and the first two cases confirmed by the health authorities, the official figure in the country rises to 12.
As to possible contagion sources , the Public Health minister told newspaper Diario Libre that nine are from an outbreak in the school Carol Morgan, in the National District - but in a statement, Public Health says they are six, two that were abroad and three others on which no contact was identified.
Rojas added that the cases are 9 in the Capital, and 1 in Santo Domingo, 1 in Peravia and 1 in Santiago provinces have been confirmed.

Clean your hands after coughing or sneezing
* Wash with soap and water.

* Clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner.
