SANTO DOMINGO.- Edwin Pimentel Tejada, one of two Dominicans accused by United States authorities of an alleged plot to assassinate a New York prosecutor who investigates the case against the ex Army captain Quirino Paulino, decided to turn himself in.

He had been released one week ago when the New York District Attorney’s Office decided not to indict him, and instead to file other charges.

Nevertheless, despite desisting from the extradition request over the alleged criminal plan, the U.S. authorities stated their decision to continue the investigation, by releasing videos and taped conversations that reveal the plot.
