SANTO DOMINGO.– Traffic along the central artery 27 de Febrero avenue and adjacent streets was backed up for miles by a protest of the bus owners union Fenatrano, to demand lower fuel prices.
The span from the avenues Tiradentes to Sabana Larga, in Santo Domingo East was the most affected, as the jam forced hundreds of commuters to arrive to work late and in turn protested for the excess gasoline they had to use waiting in the scorching temperatures.
The National Police tried successfully to stop the protest by the union of bus owners, who demand a freeze of fuel prices and to be included in the Social Security programs.

Looks like a normal day in SD.
