SANTO DOMINGO.- The vice president of the Council for Dominican Communities Abroad (CONDEX) announced that president Leonel Fernandez will meet with the United States senator from New York, Kirsten Gillibrand, who replaced Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the post.
Alejandro Santos will accompany the Democrat Gillibrand; the New York State senator Eric Scheiderman’ District 3 representative; the assemblyman Adriano Espaillat; Hugo Morales, member of New York City University’s (CUNY) Board of Directors and Ana Garcia, Special Assistant for Community Relations of the president and director for International Programs of Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College.
Santos said the senator is slated to arrive Friday and includes, in addition to the meeting with the President, a visit to Congress, the Santo Domingo State University (UASD) and a luncheon hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce.
Santos didn't specify the topics the U.S. Senator and Fernandez would discuss.
