Santo Domingo.– President Leonel Fernandez received the new chief of mission of the US
Embassy in the Dominican Republic at the Presidential Palace Monday.
Christopher
Lambert, who has been named as the new charge d'affairs at the US
Embassy replaces Roland Bullen, who is leaving the country on Sunday.
Roland Bullen took up his duties as Minister Counselor in Santo Domingo on August 18, 2006. A career member of the Foreign Service with the rank of Minister-Counselor, his previous assignment was as Ambassador to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and to CARICOM.

Lambert: "I'm here to collect for last weeks hamburgers."
I fully agree with you.
Haiti gets career diplomat for ambassador and new, modern and self-contained embassy compound; DR gets charge d'affairs.
You tell me which country is presently of greater interest to US.
Bullen's titles are just alternate terms for "bureaucrat"! Bullen played the white folks game of dinner parties & hand shakes with the RD Gov counterparts that were the main players in corruption without holding any accountable. Now, police still give drug dealers a free pass to sell drugs if they - "PAY TO PLAY".
As long as the RD Gov & its corrupt officials, Police, DNCD etc are free from any "real US pressures or sanctions; then why should we respect ANY US appointee???
At the US Embassy, we have more DHS (homeland security) & DEA AGENTS stationed in the RD. But the micro-traffickers in my Santiago barrio remain in control (because our US TAX dollars ACTUALLY pay these agents to watch porn on their laptops instead of doing the job). WTF?
Years after Paulino we fail to follow the trail to the top (RD Gov) & onto National Police/Military.
