Santo Domingo.– Blackouts have not increased lately, pointed out Celso Marranzini, the head of the State-owned Electrical Companies (CDEEE), at the Presidential Palace after meeting with
President Leonel Fernandez, and representatives of the electricity
distributors and the superintendent of electricity.
"The population should be patient because I´m not Merlin and I
don´t have a magic wand to solve the problem of the interruption in the
electricity service," Marranzini
explained.
Different strategies in the short, medium and long term were analyzed during the meeting
aimed at helping solve the deficiencies in the energy sector.
"For a change of this situation, the population needs to have patience,
because things are getting better and will improve even more,
but they cannot be solved overnight," Marranzini emphasized.

well lets see what are you going to do about this issue since we are paying more per kilo watts than any other industrial country with a five time higher minimum wages than what an employee makes here. And they do not blame the production cost to increase the price per kilo watts like you guys do here.

Mucho que hablo este "mago" antes y ahora no quiere resolver. Someone told me in DR that the issue lies in an unequal distribution of energy across the nation: in order to supply one place with energy they'd have to turn it off in another. Not enough kilowatts to go around at one time, if you will. (Or something to that effect) Sheeeahright.

Marranzini has the job for 10 days and already the vultures are circling. I say give the guy a little time. We put up with R. segura for 7 years. How about if we give this guy a couple of months?

The blackouts in Maimon are not increasing, just having a longer duration now. In any case, this problem was created by many administrations in this country, not just Lionel.
After so many years, it is a little ironic that he is asking the citizens to be patient. I rounding up used tires as we speak :)

That this guy doesn’t have 50 + family member ripping off Dominican taxpayer with BOTELLAS is a BIG PLUS to the CDEEE :o. the rest is extra it is just like receiving a big bonus for the populace.
When this Marranzini came in to the agency he had a cold reception by the agency employee but when Radames walk in it was like rock star making its grand entrance and they were so many people crying for his departure. Unbelievable.

The man hasn't been in job long enough to warrant this level of criticism.
He is clearly dealing with issues he inheritied.
The measure of his managerial and problem solving skills would be how he minimizes or eliminates the impact of past bad practices.
Let's give him 180 days and, if he doesn't produce tangible improvements, then open flodgates.

He's the 101st one to enter the office and start off by pleading for 'patience'.
That alone characterizes him as just ano;ther BS artist.
Had you really been a manager, you would have had a situation report and listed all the insurmountable problems you were left with by the previous administration. THEN you would dip into the money pile and ask for patience.

Well lets see what happens; I know that in certain areas they do not care and the lack of electricity is still a huge problem. So when they speak of increase in energy it is areas that are much closer to the capital and Santiago. They do not provide energy to small poor towns who really need it!
Totally wrong!!!!
