Santo Domingo. - Peravia province (south) senator Wilton Guerrero today said Azua has become a narco-province and warned the Police that its precinct serves drug traffickers, who know every single drug operation and movement.

He said Police chief Rafael Guzmán is being deceived by the more than 20 agents who rip off drugs because they are the heads of all the rings in that province and have placed him in a situation of saying lies in some of the recent cases.

He cited the case in Azua on July 30 with the death of three people, including a Police sergeant, a massacre he said Police lieutenant Alberto Arturo López Segura, post commander at La Bombita, is one of the main masterminds.

He said a confidant told him Lopez had closed the deal with narcotics traffickers in Santo Domingo just minutes before the shooting. “This Mr. Segura, according to the information, received two million pesos at the hands of drug traffickers in a place in Azua and offered to hand over the drug in a previously agreed point on the Azua-Peralta highway. At that point those from Santo Domingo came in their own vehicle, a gray Honda Civic, and those of the Police in a red Toyota Camry property of lieutenant López Segura.”

He reiterated his warning to the Police chief that he’s being deceived and asked him to order a wide investigation into the case.

Prayers not needed= Legalize and everyone will go broke. When I was in the drug business in Mexico the greatest fear that we had was the legalization of drugs. Not the police or time in jail but going out of business because of the loss of profit. We paid off the DAs Police Federal, City and State, Military and Politicians who said one thing and did another were on our payroll. Dollars to Donuts Ferdie Lie-onnely and his soul mate Sergirliea have dirty little fingers.

You can not legalise drugs without putting children and young people at risk of death or long term injury and without endangering the population as a whole ...if it was that easy it would have been done years ago ,The problem has to be solved in other ways

Corruption is the key problem. There are too few good guys and too many bad guys disguised as good guys. Senator Guererro is one of the few good guys. We need action not words. May Senator Guererro stay safe and in the future be in a position to help our people rid ourselves of these corrupt officials. It is obvious Azua has major drug problems that need to be fixed.

Defending the coastline, airspace, and the border against drugs, illegal inmigration, and contraband is impossible. Furthermore, the FFAA has to stop illegal emigration to PR and illegal flights to Turk&Caicos and Bahamas. NO WAY!

It is you, yes you! You are guilty for setting us to fail. All the weaponry we got from the 1930-1961 administration were destroyed (abandoned) and our FFAA were stripped of their power (for the fear of a Coup d'etat) for the sake of saving this GARBAGE CALLED REPUBLIC!

Well put up with the consequences and collateral damages of the Republic you put in 1961! PUT UP OR SHUT UP!

Is it possible that illegal drugs have not been made legal in the U.S. because millions of law enforcement jobs lost would be a tsunami of unemployment?
