The drugs incinerated Wednesday.

SANTO DOMINGO.- The country’s current cocaine shortage has led thugs to  make a bogus drug to rip off each other, and has unleashed the spate of violence in the last few days, as lab tests on all powder seized in the southwest towns Azua and Baní in last two weeks tested negative.

National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) chief Gilberto Delgado also that said one kilo of cocaine is being seized every four hours. “That’s the best example of efficiency for an institution that has few resources and which has seized more than 40 kilos every week in the last month.”

He said the seizures of narcotics, especially cocaine, averages nearly 192 kilos per month.

Delgado spoke to reporters after yesterday’s incineration of two tons of different drugs in the First Army’s 1st Brigade compound, 10 miles north of the capital, which included cocaine, marijuana, heroin and articles which promote drug consumption among youngsters.

This is a twist of the truth. The rip-offs are just that. Rip Off's if anything they indicate. That the drug dealing is so permisive, that anyone can purport to have cuantities of drugs. If they ocuupy 192 kilos a month. Give the PN the capacity and the ability to capture 20% of the drugs(doubt that) which get in the country. That would say that almost 785 kilos get in. The PN is not that good. The strret drugs that they take from nickel and dime dealers, is a cut down product, to say 2 tons.

You also have to calculate what percent (I say 10%+) the PN and Military steal and keep from the dealers, to sell. GENERAL DELGADO and his STAFF should avoid being downwind of the Drug incinerator, it makes them act stupid.

The ripoffs are not caused by a shortage....ripoffs are a Dominican way of life. It starts at the highest level of government and permeates the society.....politicians, police, the people

The worst part of is...the Koran tells it's terrorist followers not to lie or steal from "Islamic brothers" yet a goo Catholic nation like the DR has no such rule followed....pretty sad when "they" are more honest than the chopos of the DR.

Next there will be a shortage of laundry powder....flour...baby laxitive (manitol)...anything pulvo blanco

I assure everyone there is no shortage of cocaine on the island. The idea that there is so much fake stuff around is yet another way for the scum to rip each other off for free money. If they are seizing 40 kilos a week another 400 are getting by if not more.

This country is in need of Castro or Trujillo like leaders, go to baradero or Havana Cuba, and ask for a few Tabasco of marijuana, the answer would be, las parades Tienen oidos . This is personal experience.
