The Navy, again.
Zoom Picture

Santo Domingo. – Justice minister Radhamés Jiménez yesterday revealed that among the people the United States wants in extradition are two ex Navy officers and three civilians, including the Colombian extradited on Friday.

He said the ex lieutenant commander (major) Miguel Antonio Suárez turned himself in to Puerto Rico’s authorities, but refused to name the ex colonel who’s also wanted in extradition, arguing discretion until the legal procedures conclude.

Jiménez didn’t identify the other two civilians wanted in extradition, but said the arrest warrants had been requested from the Supreme Court.

The group is accused of being part of a network that ships narcotics to the United States via Puerto Rico, together with others now being prosecuted in the San Juan Federal Court.

The official insisted that he cannot reveal the civilians’ or the ex colonel’s names, because it would obstruct the investigation.

He added that the colonels haven’t been on active duty for a long time, but didn’t specify.
