Santo Domingo.- President Leonel Fernandez met with Mariela Castro, daughter of Cuba chief executive Raul Castro, in the National Palace yesterday.

After the meeting, Castro, who is director of Cuba’s Sexual Education Center (Cenesex), called the Dominican President as an intelligent and cultured person.

"The reason for the visit was to meet and greet the President, we had a strong desire to do so and in addition, to bring him a greeting from Raul Castro," said the niece of the Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
