The once respected Radhames Segura with president Leonel Fernandez..
SANTO DOMINGO.- The executive vice-president of the Dominican State-owned power companies (CDEEE) on Thursday revealed that he has fired at least 157 "advisers and relationists" after being designated in the post.
Celso Marranzini confirmed the irregularities in the previous tenure denounced by the journalist Nuria Piera, and cited the case of the Public Relations Department, which had 157 “workers” with monthly salaries as high as RD$200,000. “Not all were journalists, but they were in the Public Relations Department, they were people whom I believe went there for the first time when I arrived on August 18.”
The official, who affirmed having reduced the number of those employees to only 35, also confirmed that the CDEEE had around 125 advisers, contracted for up to 50,000 dollars monthly and were lowered to 35 when Piera uncovered it.
“I took them to zero, there were 125 advisers and were all fired,” Marranzini said in the Teleantillas program Uno mas Uno.

The electrical problems seem to be worse since this guy has taken office. In our area in Santiago we have been without electricity many days for a lot of people. Some days we get 2 hours electricity and 22 without. I am waiting to see the bill for this month possibly a total of 60-70 hours of available electricity the bill better be quite small. If not we will start using solar panels and generators with our invertor system as it will be cheaper. No more electric bill and probably a more stable supply of electricity for less money.

As far as the power is off more remember this guy is changing things around. Considering the situation was not run or operated in any professional maner before and now he is firing people. How much sabotage do you think could be going on? As well how many people are forgetting how to do things out of spite?
Also when you turn over the cart things get crazy and this guy is truly dumping the cart. I just hope he gets things solved fast before people patients wares out.

I'll support Wilton Guerrero.

Every department and institution in the DR is as corrupt and inefficient as the CDEEE - I hope this does not come as a surprise to anyone on this forum. This is only the tip of the iceberg and LF cannot role out this type of a reformer to sweep out the crap elsewhere because all of his party supporters are the phantom, employees and consultants (grubs and leeches) drawing salaries from these struggling institutions. They do nothing, take a paycheck and all the while LF sits on his pompous backside spruiking Zero Tolerance. What a prick! He should be made to walk along the highways and pick up rubbish.

VeronicaDr, i support your contention. my buddy has a business near Santiago. yesterday, the lights went off at 7.30am, came back at 6.30pm, then stayed for all of 40 minutes, never to return till the next morning(today) what a way to run a railroad! and, i agree with Letmic. if every department goes through a purge, the country will collapse, because there will be nobody left in government.

g,
I agree with vacanos, Senator Guerrero has the onions, also Senator Brito from Santiago, and Guillermo Moreno who had the onions to dump the Lie-onel Fernandez and the PLD during his first term.
Dr. Moreno smelled the stench of the developing corruption in 1996 that has become the Frankenstein we face today and refused to participate in any capacity with Lie-onel or the PLD ever since.!

We seem to be luckier in la Romana and in Bayahibe where the power supply is very steady ..maybe the Puerto Rican fugitive who has been living here and I believe investing here also has some influence with the power authorities .
