Santo Domingo.- National District Prosecutor Alejandro Moscoso announced the seizure of a farm which the authorities call a “small zoo” with hundreds of animals and a heliport allegedly owned by the Puerto Rican fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto, linked to the 4.6 million dollars confiscated within a SUV parked in a condo two weeks ago.
He said the farm, located 25 kilometers north of the capital on the Duarte highway, and presumably used to store drugs, was detected by the authorities last weekend.
The official affirmed having all the proof the farm is owned by Figueroa, linked to the US$4.6 million seized from his alleged paramour Sobeida Felix.
Moscoso said the more than five hectare farm has ostriches, walking horses, geese, wild boar and other animals, as well as a modern warehouse used to store drugs, as well as a slab he suspects is a heliport.
He added that regarding the 4.6 million dollars a Dominican Air Force lieutenant and a deportee from the United States were detained in Puerto Plata for their alleged link to Figueroa.
