Newark.– New Castle County Safe Streets Officers have arrested Julio
Maladonado, a 22 year old male of Dominican origin who resides in the 500 block of S.
DuPont Highway, near the split of Routes 40 and 7.
He has been
charged with felony drug offenses and endangering the welfare of a one
year old child who was living in the home where the drugs were kept. On
Thursday afternoon officers from the New Castle County Safe Street
Team responded to the Pine Valley Apartments to conduct a follow-up on
an unrelated investigation.
When the officers knocked on the door of
the home, they were greeted by Julio Maladonado who indicated he did
not know the person the officers were looking for (even though her name
was on the lease).
While speaking with Maladonado, the officers observed drugs and
paraphernalia inside the apartment. They took the subject into custody
and obtained a search warrant. During the execution of the search
warrant, officers located and seized a total of 14.2 grams of cocaine,
a digital scale, packaging materials and cash.
The officers also notified the U.S. Immigration and Customs
Enforcement Agency regarding the arrest of the Dominican Republic
native.

After he serves his time in a US prison he should be deported. No reason for the US to keep foreign criminals after they have completed their jail time.

They indicate NEWARK, but this is New Castle County , Delaware. Not Newark, NJ. It has a very large college population (University of Delaware) he had a good crowd to deal to. So what in 10 years we will find him in NACO with 3 jeepetas, guns and "PHONY" DNI identification.

SO WHAT, some people need to be educated as to the injustice which are coomitted by those who make the LAWS. In the first place the only concerned that the authorities have as far as drug dealings is concerned is that they are not able to TAXED it. The #1 killer and #1 cause of death is LIQUOR Fallowed By #2 killer and cause of death #2 CIGARRETTES while drug does not even fall in the #10 position.

A home filled with liquor and smoking cigarrette is not considered an endangered home for minors. Go to any hospital and what do you find, what does statistics demonstrate and the realities of the true ills of society. Yes, the used of illegal drugs are detrimental to our health but these are not the main causes of death. In 1973 the U.S. federal government made new laws which increase the the jail time for drug dealers or users. The new laws made the business more expensive and thus more attractive. One kilo of cocaine when from US$10,000 dollars to US$25,000 -- US$30,000 dollars. Around the 1980's a kilo was going for around US$40,000 to even US$50,000. At the same time the U.S. new laws allowed them to confiscate any money or properties from drug dealers, jailed them and then deport them. The true needs to be spoken as to who is the real thief and dealers. Those in this forum can point their fingers but they are pointing in the wrong directions cause they have no idea as to what is

taking place. The Dominican Government has followed in the steps of the U.S. government cause the had found it to be another way of enriching themselves by also consficating money and properties from said such drug dealers. At the same time showing the U.S. government that they too are fighting this so called ill of society so that the U.S. government awards them with more MONEY and MATERIALS to keep on fighting the so called war on drug. So, who is really profitting from all of this --------- while at the same time the liqour industry is allowed to function as though is something healthy. Cigarrettes had come under attack in some places but the industry is making more money today.

Hvargas,
Illegal is Illegal period.....If I robbed a Bank and the Money stolen was then used to purchased a car what would you call that ?
The increased Jail time was supposed to be used as a Deterante remember, I call the increase in price was due to Inflation / cost of living, still doesn't make it legal never mind the crime associated with drug use or the Lives and Families destroyed . A society without Laws is a Lawless Society.
As to the confiscation of Monies and Property should in my opinion be used to combat more crime. As far as attacks on Liquor and Cigarettes it's call TAX or if you prefer SIN TAX.
Driving a Car at a unsafe speed is what I call Suicide on the installment plan, it's only a matter of time, the odds are stacked against you.

I actually live in New Castle County in Delaware,, not many Dominicans in DE, population is a little over 2000 (most ex-NYC ex-pats). Most do live in an area that is seen as one of the wose slums of Wilmington (4th St) Personally, I have officially met a total of 3 Domincans in DE, but they are not usual news at all in the state. I have seen some Domincans in the mall here and there and the only reason I knew they were Dominicans was because of when they talked Spanish, otherwise, most I have bumped into, could easily pass as African Americans, unlike NYC, where you have a heavy Mulatto looking Dominicans.

Are we to assume that in order to find Dealers and Users we have to look for that right Color or Ethnicity ?
In Palmdale, California where I live most Drug Dealers selling Marijuana and Crack Cocaine are Black Drug Dealers.
Most Drug Dealers in Speed / Meth and Home grown Marijuana are White.
Most Drug Dealers in Heroin are Asian.
Most Marijuana Dealers and Smugglers in all types of Drugs are Mexicans / Hispanics.
Trash comes in all Color's, Shapes, sizes and Gender, this drug problem is so vast.
The Dealer does not care What Color or Ethnicity you are, they just want that Mean GREEN.
.
To think a curtain Ethnicity is responsible for this epidemic would be Foolish in my opinion.
The best way to that this madness is for our Youth / next Generation to quit and not to use at all.

Take care.

It's not about use or not using drug, its about the ills of society. A person who used drug or sell it is a degenarate according to some in this forum. One who smoke cigarrette and one who drink liquor is not. This is legal and acceptable behaviour in our society. Those who make the laws expect everyone to accept all of the other things which are destroying life until they decide to make it illegal. Count the number of pople in the world that used drug and compare them to the number of people that used alcohol and cigarrettte. Count the number of related death due to these two ills and compare them to illegal drugs and them make your comments. I don't smoke, drink alcohol nor eat meat. I have no religion and belong no no political party.
