Plinio Jacobo, Laura Ricart.
SANTO DOMINGO.- The bodies of the Dominican Laura Ricart and the Spaniard Jorge Javier were found yesterday by Navy patrols and volunteers, who still search for the other two people missing on the high seas since Thursday.
The authorities haven’t found the 24 foot Aqualum boat in which they and the other two missing had gone fishing, Plinio Jacobo, Ricart’s husband and the American Robert Wagner.
Both bodies were found 11 miles south of Guayacanes, San Pedro province (east).
The first was found at 11:20 a.m. and the second at 12:50 p.m., 10 miles from each other, and were taken to the port at San Andres, Boca Chica, to be identified by relatives and later to Forensics, for an autopsy.

It's not so funny now that the true nature of what happened to these individuals becomes known. Some posters were making all sorts of wise-crack comments on their whereabouts. May they rest in peace.

My condolences,
I hope that this was just an accident and that no fowl play was involved, it would be truly sad to come to learn that there was fowl play, it just makes it that much worse to enjoy our beloved country you need to be armed to enjoy a day fishing at sea.

There has been no update in the news. Last report, they have not found the boat. Just some life jackets, sandals, and chocolates. The concern now would hypothermia as they have been in the water a long time.

Haven't found the boat... or Plinio or Robert yet as far as I know. I don't know what to think.

My deepest condolences to Laura's family. She was a beautiful person and she will be missed.
I will keep the family and her daughters in my prayers, and hope that my dear freind Plinio is found alive so that the girls don't lose both their parents at the same time.
