Santo Domingo.- The Presidency’s Adviser on Drugs said yesterday if he were an investigator he would try to interrogate two ex heads of the Drugs Control Agency (DNCD), so they explain how the expulsion and extradition request for the fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto was revoked.
Marino Vinicio Castillo (Vincho) however weighed the responsibility and the capacity of the generals Radhamés Ramirez Ferreira and Héctor Lachapelle Suero. “I am raising this in a very personal way. But if I were an investigator, I would possibly have interrogated them."
Castillo also reiterated that Figueroa had links with Hipólito Mejía’s Presidency (2000-2004), when Lachapelle was DNCD chief.
The official, speaking after meeting with National Investigation Department (DNI) director Ramon Antonio Aquino, said the ex Army major Antonio Saviñón Aybar, investigated in the murder of ex colonel Jose Amado González, worked with Mejia’s Administrative Minister Siquió Ng de la Rosa.

Just follow the trail of the Big yellow bags stuffed with narco dollars and you'll have the answer. When an army is so deeply socked with corruption, the country and people it supposed to protect and defend worth less than a penny.

Why has Vincho waited so long(almost 8 years) to "demand" this, hasn't he been the DRUG CZAR?

Heading does not actually match up with the article ..all this Vincho seems to said is that if he was an investigator he POSSIBLY would have interviewed the two ex chiefs..
There still is not one positive piece of news but simply background information ...even if they could nail the official who authorised Saviñon to work in the Presidents office , it would be at least one step made ...and I am sure if anyone had a simple look at the files of Saviñon,they could find guilty officials in 5 minutes.

Let us hope Vincho and his 15 minutes will soon be coming to an end ......He is a distraction

what with this ridiculous handling of the Figueroa case and the appalling display by los Toros in their last two matches, my life has moved to some level of depression.

What happened to our Toros? From a season start so promising to embarassing defeats in the last few games, I will have to wait until the Yankees start back up again for baseball.
Meanwhile, it is back to the frustration of the DR and all the darts thrown at it here on DT.

They will just plea stupid. Which is a legitimate defense for Dominicans.
They may even receive the badge of honor I write so much about.

Let's just give the people some sex talk.
No reason to do any real investigating, like for example, checking on the net worth of military and governmental officials and how they have grown so exponentially. This would be easy to do if someone really cared. Unfortunately nobody does.

And while they are at it, check Vincho's source of wealth as well.

Walnut ,,they have never had much sustained concentration but I really think the murder of the young man by a policeman two weeks ago (his brother plays for los Toros) was very unsettling ..but I can think of no other excuse ,,,the big losses are always the result of carelessness and little concentration ...if they are like my softball team here ,they probably have a few too many Presidentes also.
