Santo Domingo. - President Leonel Fernandez flew today to Tegucigalpa to attend the inaugural of Honduras president elect Porfirio Lobo, with whom he signed an agreement to allow deposed leader Manuel Zelaya to live in Dominican Republic country as a distinguished guest.
Fernandez’s plane took off shortly after 8:40 a.m. local (1240 GMT) from the San Isidro Airbase in Santo Domingo, where he’s expected to return together with Zelaya at 6 p.m. today.
The chief executive travels accompanied by Foreign Relations minister Carlos Morales, the Presidency’s Chief of staff Cesar Pina, and his spokesman Rafael Núñez, among others.
Fernandez and Lobo signed an agreement in Santo Domingo last Wednesday, which grants Zelaya safe-passage out of Honduras to fly to the Caribbean country.

"an agreement to allow to live in Dominican Republic country as a distinguished guest."
I thought LIE-onel Fernandez only reserved that “distinction” for José D. Figueroa Agosto!
I told my friends that my boss and I had had an important meeting with regards to my job, and my leaving the job.
He said, "Get out."
And I said, "O.K."
