Santo Domingo.- The country’s milk producers grouped in Aproleche on Thursday blamed the poisoning from the school breakfast on “dark interests” of government sectors, the Education Ministry and milk importers.
Aproleche called the accusations that their sector has sickened students in numerous occasions with the school breakfast “infamy.”
They blamed the incidents on people with dark interests involved in the massive milk imports and the mishandling of the breakfast in schools.
Aproleche president Luis Carlos Fernandez affirmed that the program has been affected by the “rampant” government corruption, because of the RD$17 million spent daily. “We demand that president Fernandez intervene to put a stop to the lie which suggests we the milk producers have some degree of criminal responsibility in the poisonings of students.”
Former Aproleche president Erick Rivero also weighed in, calling pettiness the attempt to involve them in the intoxications. “What we do in fact is ask the Minister of Education (Melanio Paredes) why he discontinued the commission to follow-up on the quality of the school breakfast.”

So once again they are asking Melanio to conduct an investigation yet he refuses to do so while blaming them for the problem.
Melanio: wouldn't it be easier to blame people with some sort facts on your side. Why not go ahead and conduct the investigation, is there anything we could find out?
This starting to sound to me like Haiti's ban on Dominican eggs just to later find out somebody in Haiti got paid to ban Dominican eggs and allow Venezuela to supply the missing one.

I'm very sick of this. It's been a while that these heartless bastards doing harm to innocent children. Only in DR they allow this. These kids are tommorow future, 2 bad it will go to waste because the Viejitos in higher power refuse to give up their power. They wont give way to newer generations. Sometimes i think, aren;t these funcionarios fathers, mothers, uncles abuelos etc??? then again they wont give a rat ass because their children are in elite schools and doesn't go through this sh*t. Well dreadlocks, it might not have the same nutrients, but atleast it will keep the kids from getting poisons, or you rather have them go back to when you went to school and there wasn't any breakfast at all.
