SANTO DOMINGO. - The Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) on Wednesday handed over a Dominican woman dubbed an “environment criminal” in the United States, where she faces fraud and conspiracy charges.

Albania de Leon and/or Elba Henríquez Peña, 41, native of central La Vega, was arrested by DNCD agents on October 30 in the sector Los Mameyes, Santo Domingo East, on a Supreme Court arrest warrant issued July 1.

She is also accused of drafting fictitious and fraudulent statements to contract and recruiting foreigners to work in that nation’s Environmental Protection Agency, despite knowing that they lacked the required permanent residence permits.

Peña, who awaits inducement in the Massachusetts District Court, was handed over to U.S. Marshals in the Las Americas Airport, and escorted aboard Delta Airlines flight 494 to New York Wednesday afternoon.

Don't send her back here. I forgot that in the end after serving her time she will be extradited back to Leonellandia so she can continue her life in a corrupt PLD environment.

The US should only allow natural born citizens to work in any of the country's government agencies. What was she doing at EPA to begin with? What position did she have that allowed her to recruit and contract them? I am a US citizen (born and raised). If I applied for a job at EPA, I would not be considered... what nerve.
