DR is becoming one of the worst place to visit or live in it. and the sad parts of all of this is that the goverment is not doing anything to stop it. Lets see what happen when people stop traveling to it. Bye bye Dominicans fly.

They need to put check point in this area check who comes in and out. That way the people that had invested their will earned money will feel more secure and safe.

I find it strange for something like this to happen in an upscale area like Juan Dolio where you would expect safety and security to be a priority. Did that place have a guard with 24 hour surveillance and if so, where was security? If not, then that was the first mistake. However, I doubt it. 24 hour security in the DR today is a necessity, expected and demanded. Why spend big money on a beautiful residence and not take precautions to protect it That is why I believe this was not a random act but rather a previously planned inside job.

I can almost swear that there where others involved to help facilitate the crime. There is no way for this to be possible unless key people where in cohoots. I also find it odd that the girlfriend was not hurt, yet the domestic Aracelis Silvestre received two gun shot wounds. Why? Like most DT articles, it leaves more questions then answers.

You people over react. Happens everywhere as no place is crime free. You all go balistic in every article. I would rather live here than the US or any other country I know of.

pat,
Guard dogs bring down the property values. Guard dogs are not 100% security

Just read in Hoy.digital that the guard coincidentally had his day off when the crime occurred. There was no security watch at the time of the incident. I do find it odd, precisely when in that specific area there were aproximately 6 violent home invasions within the last few months.
