For Santo Domingo and its municipalities Onamet forecasts partly overcast skies and a few scattered showers and falli

It also continues maritime alert for the North Coast, where a dangerously high surf should keep small craft in port.

well, maybe some of the folks who are shivering and snivelling in 50 degrees will understand the trials and tribulations that some foreigners have to go through in order to survive and make a living in cold countries, and stop believing that they find piles of money in the streets.

I feel sorry for most Dominicans who lack proper clothing to stay warm! Many sleep with only sheets and it is cold and damp here! Others only have sandals, no closed in shoes to wear.

Locals are not prepared for this type of cold!

Low record temps where recorded as well in Cuncun, MX last mouth while a "global warming" summit was undergoing. Irony.

10 C?

I spent a night at 15C and wanted to die. We had to sleep with all our clothes on and still had cold.

Hellborn25 - you don't get it or are you being miserable on purpose???? We have had unseasonably cold weather for 2 weeks now. Locals here are not prepared for this. For it to go to 15 C or 10C is very very cold to them. And it is not going from 50 one day to 80 the next. People here are getting sick, those already sick are getting worse. A little compassion goes a long way!
