Santo Domingo. - The Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) busted a drug trafficking network that used a posh east coast hotel to ship cocaine to Puerto Rico in speedboats which set out from its marina.
To transport the drug from Boca Chica to the hotel they used vehicles rented from a recognized rent-a-car in the Bavaro-Punta Cana area.
The confiscation of 50 packages of pure cocaine from Ezequiel Belen Duarte on December 9 led to the drug trafficking ring’s contacts, including two others identified only as “El Flaco Miguel,” who allegedly took the cocaine out of the county on the boat “La Rubia.”
It was also reported that one of the suspects was employed in another hotel in Cabeza de Toro.
After their operation was uncovered the DNCD and the Police began casing the hotels in the region whose marinas are suspected of being used to traffic drugs.
Investigators work to establish whether the drug entered via airdrops or through the Port of Caucedo, which is near Boca Chica.
Belen is being held in Higüey without bond.
The DNCD reports that the ring, which paid Belen (Danny) RD$100,000 for each “service” of taking the drug into the hotel, is the second criminal organization dismantled in the east region in the last few days.
Last week ago a group eight, four from La Romana, was busted with 310 kilos of cocaine to be taken to Puerto Rico –headed by a Puerto Rican and his wife, and operated out of a famous resort in that city. Several are still on the loose.

No one can determine who is who, but, they manage to test the coke to reveal that it was "PURE"
Bunch of clowns!!
Just catch and jail the 'head'. If the people in charge are NOT prosecuted it will start over somewhere else.
