Santo Domingo. - The death of a young stowaway who tried to reach the United States hiding in a cargo jet’s landing gear on Thursday delayed departures and arrivals of at least seven flights in Las Americas Airport (AILA), and detoured another to the terminal at Punta Cana (east).
The young man, around 27, died yesterday when he plunged at 2:47 p.m. from the plane in which he tried to travel out of AILA’s Cabo Caucedo cargo terminal. The body was taken from the runway to the airport morgue, where a doctor who examined it said he had died instantaneously.

Interesting that he was able to infiltrate the airport and board this plane. Especially interesting after we were just told that this airport is 100% safe. I guess they really weren't checking to well.
GC: Talk about sad commentary. You have made a sad commentary on what you think constitutes humor.
You are a pathetic unfunny loser.

Desperate people do desperate things and in this case it had a tragic result.
This a case of victim's ignorance of not knowing the mortal risks of traveling in the wheel well of a jet aircraft.
This points to the fact the aircraft crew should inspect the wheel wheels and more importantly the ground crews inspect the wheels just prior to the aircraft taxiing away from the terminal and that ground traffic control personnel closely observe the aircraft until it is in the air. This also requires the area to be secure as previously mentioned, 100% secure.
