Santo Domingo.- The director of the Museum of Resistance on Friday announced they’ll file a libel suit in Miami and locally against Maria de los Angeles (Angelita) Trujillo, and against the university Unicaribe.
Luisa de Peña said they’ll sue the dictator Rafael Trujillo’s daughter, author of the book “Trujillo, Mi Padre (My Father)” for slander and for violating the Law against pro Trujillo activities.
She said the Museum, formed by five anti-Trujillo foundations, rebukes the book and its content and stressed that Unicaribe broke the Law by staging the debut, “of a book which defends crimes such as the slaughter of Haitians,” in reference to the 1937 genocide ordered by the dictator. “We demand respect of the law and the stipulated punishment for those who violate it.”
De Peña, speaking on the Telesistema program with Huchi Lora and Patricia Solano, said as a first step the Patriotic Federations Foundation will issue a statement urging citizens not to buy the book. “We don’t want the nation to give more money to the pockets of Angelita Trujillo when the Trujillo regime left around 50,000 Dominican and foreign victims missing and tortured.”
She said the suit is already in the hands of lawyers in the United States and that all possibilities are being studied to take the case to court.
Personna non grata
The head of the movement Fuerza Boschista, which promotes the ideals of the late President and founder of the ruling PLD party, will ask Congress to declare Trujillo’s daughter Angelita.
Luis De León said her presence in her country is a “shameful” disrespect to the victims of the bloody tyranny.

Small minds indeed. They should be promoting history and accept all views. Let educated folks make up their own minds..,,, oh I amost forgot, that would only hold true in a literate and educated society !!! What a bunch of crap. If you dont like her or her book, dont buy it ! Why hold her responsible to what her father did . ???? Unless,,, Angelita participated in some of the tortures and murders that went on behind closed doors....WTF !

Poking at the hornets nest is just about right, and this is only the beginning.
The dictator's fat, ugly and presumptuous daughter, still dreams of past glories when all Dominicans were her servants, and her father was the big bwana, owner of the DR 'finca" and everything inside of it.
Trying to ride in the success of the previous book from her niece Aida Trujillo, Angelita Trujillo just shot herself in the foot in the process, and opened a "pandora's box" with a can of worms inside, from the ghosts of all the thousands of Dominicans, Haitians and others that where brutally tortured and murdered by her father and all his sycophants, fellow gangsters and other brown nosing criminals.
Just hearing her gross fabrications, brought bad memories of a past that I would like to forget someday, and relived nightmares long forgotten.
May the curse of all the innocent lives that where exterminated by her family, hound her forever and follow her to dump in her grave.

My family lost several members during the dictatorship but I am not for censorship ,I also believe every story has two sides to it.
What really pisses me off though is that many if not most of those who get up in arms about Trujillo have no qualms supporting the dictatorship in Cuba to the point that they describe the victims of the dictatorship as "gusanos" following the brutal dictatorships designations so I obviously don';t take seriously the lamentations of those who oppose one dictatorship while they support wholeheartedly the longest continuous tyranny in the hemisphere!

I have to agree that a dialogue should be open, at least to try healing the open wounds of 31 years of brutal dictatorship inflicted upon Dominican society and the repercussions that we are living right now. Respect and understanding should be given to those who lost family and friends at the hands of the dictator and his henchmen but at the same time we need to take a look at this book in a historical context and open the debate with that in mind.
Her allegations about Luis Amiama Tio been responsible of ordering the murders of Las Hermanas Miraval to me were shocking and made me take another look at the individual history of all of the heroes from la gesta del 30 de Mayo

So we have the fact that Trujillo was bad and no one likes him. Second, that his family is somehow also related to his attrocities so no one likes them either. How about the third? Third, that there are still people who made Trujillo possible. 1 man can't and will never be able to achieve that much power by himself. Trujillo, of course, had many henchmen and many of them still influential.
This makes sense to me to hate his daughter. It even makes sense to hate anything Trujillo. However, what doesn't make sense is how we are ready to lynch his daughter who might not have ever pulled a trigger but do not raise one eyebrow at the ones who are boycotting this... Not all but the ones who are crooks and boycotting. The ones who might have been involved with Trujillo and would not want this book to come out. Dominican Society in general needs to take a long hard look at who is ruling this country and where morality starts and ends.

BERLIN - Germany - Archaeologists have uncovered new evidence that may change history regarding the dead Fascist leader, Adolf Hitler.
In a remarkable turn of events, archaeologists have come across what is believed to be Hitler's moustache in a disused warehouse in East Berlin.
"We found his moustache in an old brown envelope with a little note next to it. The note explained that before Hitler and Eva Braun committed suicide on 30 April 1945, the Fuhrer asked his attache to snip it off and preserve it. The note did not explain why, but was signed by Wolfgang Reitmeister, who has been documented as being one of the officers who poured petrol over the Fuhrer's body after his death," one of the archaeologists told New Scientist magazine.
Preliminary carbon dating and DNA tests were completed last week with some very positive results. The data has been matched with Hitler's remaining relatives of which there are many still alive.

But there is something that's for sure, he raised our national identity to highter levels, the the US imperialist commies didn't like the fact that Trujillo was raising DR to the hightest levels ever, so they decided to send there CIA spies and plot a conspiracy against Trujillo.
He might have being bad at killing so many innocent, but he did some positive and important effects on the country at that time.

MUNICH - Germany - Adolf Hitler took time out from running Nazi Germany to be a hippy and take psychedelic drugs, a new book claims.
When he was not ordering stormtroopers into Germany's neighbouring countries, Adolf Hitler would relax with a large bong and strum on his ukelele.
The dictator would often break from the serious nature of waging his campaign to "paint flowers on his VW Camper van" before driving it around the Bavarian countryside with his entourage of free-spirited fellow "magic mushroom munching hippies".
His favourite hippy friend was the Luftwaffe chief Herman Goering, who was notoriously fond of wearing medals and decorations on his flared lederhosen trousers whilst singing freedom songs around a fire.
