The real sad reality is that with all the acts of dishonesty that has been going on in government, there really is no real sense of truth anymore. How can we ever be sure who is an honest chief, military official, or a government official? We can make distinctions as to who we like better and who seems to know more. However, the fact is that to the present day a great number have spoken so well and have made it a sort of work of art to listen to their beautiful promises and words that seem to call for justice and freedom, but the actions are much more different. We will have more leaders of political parties, more chiefs, more judges, more senators, and more great talkers. But where are the great doers? When will they come? When will those who actually SEEK truth and don't just attempt to speak it come? Isn't everyone tired of leaders saying that drugs are going to end and instead they get worst? That corruption is getting cleaned and only dirtier? What will have to happen?

The crazy thing is that his accent is definitely Boricua, with Dominican being that he's been living in the DR for so long.
But listening to the tape recording I can pick up the PR accent.

Sadly, Dominica, the answer can be found by looking to Mexico and Columbia to see who really rules those countries.

If they ever do find Agosto he will never make it into the back seat of a police car alive unless the US DEA finds him first. He's a marked man and he knows it.

Corruption rears it's ugly head again. I hope he does release the names publicly. This guy bribed people for his freedom and to do his drug dealing in our country with the help of people who are supposed to protect us from this. Let the names fly. We need to fix our corruption problems but those who can seem to be involved because they have no interest in fixing anything. Bunch of blow hards who just talk.

Figueroa Agosto is the "defacto" president of a shadow, parallel government in DR.
Sadly, he might be doing a better job than the elected one, in some respects.

This is tragic and funny at the same time. But one thing that puzzles me..... After living in La Dominicana for a significant period of time why is Figueroa seemingly unaware of the socio-economic dynamics of the country? I mean 30 million RD for killing Rolando and Rafael....seriously? He should know he can get that done for a lot less. He can find tigueres in the street who will do that for 50K RD (or less)! And if he's really a "kingpin" who is smart and organized, shouldn't he have folks on staff whose job is to do the boss' dirty work? I can't take Figueroa seriously. This is pure entertainment.

I just love how our officials in this case are shown how inept and corrupt their system is and that they can do nothing to this guy Agosto. All it took was some time and a bunch of drug money to let this guy set up shop and own every official that was for sale. Now good luck finding or doing anything to this guy. And anyone who gets in his way can look forward to a nice price on their head. Might as well make him our next president since he has more control over the country. Welcome to the DR don't forget your your bribe money and bullet proof vest.

Veronica.....it doesn't matter if Figueroa has officials....politicos in his pocket or not. It comes down to political will. If Leonel, or other key officials within his administration want to take out Figueroa they can. It doesn't matter how much strength Figueroa has in the streets if the government is willing to leverage all of its intelligence, counter-terrorism, and military resources against him and his "organization" then its lights out for Figueroa. But without political will, then Figueroa flourishes.

if the cops and military was not corrupt in the first place then this would have never happened, ig they would have arrested him to begin with none of this would have happened... I hope the Colonels due get theirs....
