Hector Rdriguez Pimentel. File.
Santo Domingo.- The Agrarian Institute (IAD) director on Wednesday said he regrets and is surprised by the head of the Justice Ministry’s Anticorruption Department (DPCA) Hotoniel Bonilla, who in his view lends himself to a campaign to discredit him politically.
Héctor Rodriguez Pimentel said Bonilla didn’t have to “join the choir” of voices who seek to jeopardie him, for his role in the forging an alliance between the ruling PLD, and the minority PRSC parties for the May 16 congressional and municipal elections.
The official, whose tenure in the Hydraulic Resources Institute also led to allegations of corruption, denied irregularities of selling IAD lands, when that agency’s function is social, by providing parcels for low income farmers.
“I regret that an official the category of Hotoniel Bonilla joins the political campaign against me, by sectors which can’t withstand seeing me with the political force which I have and the work that I am doing in the government of president Leonel Fernandez.”
The DPCA director has described Rodriguez Pimentel as being “pathologically corrupt without a doubt” for the irregularities he’s allegedly been linked to.

Ever see a "senior government official" who wasn't pathologically corrupt?Or for that matter, ever see one you could believe?

Very bad boy, not only a mega kleptocrat but irresponsible, for sleeping at the wheel and being responsible for hundreds of deaths because of the 2008 hurricane rains floods after abrupt release of water from the dams, that could have been prevented with an orderly evacuation, and gradual release of water pressure.
In Cuba, China, Singapore, and a few other places this "used toilet paper" as Balaguer affectionately described him, would have been shot.

it astonishes me that this guy still has a job with the government. it is a sad reflection on the President to keep a person like this in his cabinet. it underscores what i have always said, that the corruption flourishes because the president turns a blind eye to it. ¨he who does not condemn evil commands it to be done¨.

How can anyone be surprised that LF continues to allow thieves like this guy operate with impugnity.
According to DR1 here is some of his past:
Hotoniel Bonilla, director of the governmental Department for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (DPCA) has described the director of the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD), Hector Rodriguez Pimentel as “pathological” for repeated suspected corruption in office. Interviewed on the Huchi Lora afternoon talk show, Bonilla said that Rodriguez was singled out for corruption when he was a consul in Haiti, then by TV journalist Alicia Ortega for his work at the head of the government dams department (INDRHI) and now again at the IAD.

Guys like this make feel ashamed to share same galaxy, much less planet and even much, much less same country.
I really would like to know his qualifications for all of those very important jobs he has held.
This guy looks like some ladrones I have known and is likely one himself. A common thread among this class is that they actually feign integrity and morality. They are very good and well-connected, which is why they always land on their feet. Yes, I would like this guy to land on his fee-right after we cut the rope around his neck and hanging from a lamp post, with his body limp and his tongue purple and hanging out. Yes, he would land on his feet-one last time. I despise this guy and I don't even know him....I don't have to.
Some day, yes some day, we will have to stop thinking about those yipetas, bachata and girls, and get down to the business of exacting barrio justice. We need to hang a few people, with expedient trials, and the sooner the better.

Someone brought then-President Balaguer a list of "serious reformists" for appointment in government.
"Serious reformists"?, asked President Balaguer.
"Ha ha ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaa" was his own reply...
This Rodríguez Pimentel is blatantly using IAD lands, which means agrarian reform lands, for personal gain.
We shall see is the so-called DEPRECO is up to anything at all. Because, ever since it was created more than 10 years ago, it has never closed a case successfully against any incumbent government official...

By the way, when he was at INDRHI he was the one who authorized discharging the overflowing Taveras' dam into the Yaque del Norte river.
Remember?
Santiago totally flooded?
Just for keeping a multiparty coalition such as the one currently in power in the DR did NOT justify appointing this pestilent non-entity to a position in INDRHI.
Imagine: a crooked lawyer managing the Dominican system of hydrological resources.
Irrigation canals. Dams. RIvers.
For that you need a damn good engineer.
And in spite of all of the DR's deficiencies, we certainly have many of those around...
