Sobeida Felix, Jose Figueroa A.
SANTO DOMINGO.– The authorities today posted a RD$10 million (US$277,777) reward for information leading to the arrest of the Puerto Rican Jose Figueroa Agosto and his paramour Sobeida Felix, both fugitives in drug trafficking cases.
The Drugs Control Agency (DNCD), the Police, the Justice Ministry, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and the Drug enforcement Administration (DEA) have joined efforts to determine the fugitives’ whereabouts.
Police chief Rafael Guzmán and DNCD director Rolando Rosado head a nationwide media campaign asking anyone with knowledge about the fugitives to call the phone number 1-809-200-1420, where the informant’s anonymity and security are guaranteed and the money will be paid in cash.
In November the authorities also offered a one million peso reward for information on the whereabouts of Sobeida Felix.

If this were the PRD this offer would not even be on the table. Cause no one gets caught when PRD is in office.

The reward would certainly be welcomed by a poor employee in a house in a resort ..as it is been suggested by the very strange drug advisor that he is somehow hiding in a Dominican resort..I find that highly unlikely and I think the reward has been posted as the chances of it being claimed is not high .

This is a public relations ploy, a bluff, on the part of the government to make it appear there is an earnest attempt on its part to apprehend the fugitives. However, as the previous posters make note, nobody will chime in on the offer. It would be their death sentence and the government knows it.

WASHINGTON, FEB 5 (NNN-IDB) — The Dominican Republic will improve performance and effectiveness in elementary and secondary education with a $100 million conditional credit line for investment projects (CCLIP) approved by the Inter-American Development Bank, which includes an initial $50 million loan.
Under the program, large elementary and secondary schools will increase instruction time, improve grade advancement rates, alleviate classroom overcrowding in low-income districts, and boost reading, writing, and mathematics learning achievements in the first cycle of elementary schools.
In order to achieve these goals, the funds will finance construction of 34 fully-equipped secondary schools, each with an average 14 classrooms; refurbishing work at more than 200 elementary schools; and stocking of 3,000 individual classroom libraries with 80 book titles each.

CASO FIGUROA AGOSTO
