Manuel Zelaya

Santo Domingo.– The former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya held his first news conference Thursday since beginning exile in the Dominican Republic last week. Zelaya left Honduras the same day as his successor, President Porfirio Lobo, took office.

Zelaya’s supporters had boycotted Lobo’s election in protest of the coup regime that overthrew Zelaya. The Honduran Congress has granted Zelaya political amnesty, but he still faces criminal charges if he returns home. On Thursday, Zelaya said it’s his accusers who should be put on trial.

According to Zelaya, those who want to put him on trial are his adversaries. "They are not judges. Those who have not wanted to start a legal process, lift one finger against murderers, criminals, those who torture Hondurans and who continue torturing them and myself, who was attacked at a diplomatic venue, they can’t judge anybody."

Look.......is that my new found "Loco Lefty" friend Belial in the back seat ?

Give Mr. Z a free one way plane ticket to Venezuela where he can share a condo with Hugo-a-go-go overlooking the oil fields.

How about Cuba where he can enroll in the medical field ?

Better yet send Mr. Z to Haiti to assist in Humanitarian aide.

I just wonder how many in Honduras will look to the DR in a negative way by this ?

Riosm,

You stated: "Look.......is that my new found "Loco Lefty" friend Belial in the back seat ? "

I laughed so hard I thought I was going to wet my pants!

Zelaya, and his expected comrades in forum, should all do the correct thing and move either to Cuba or Caracas. For our two or three forum members, I would volunteer a contribution if they would volunteer to take a permanent one way trip.

BTW, on Mr. Zelaya, I thought a featured story on him several days ago stated that he was just passing through DR, on his way to exile in Mexico. Does anyone else remember that story, or have I just been dragged down to Mucho Loco's level by engaging him in logical discussions? Please help.

MJEV.

We do not know why Leonel invited Zelaya here and how much the rent is on his villa in SD but maybe he was appeasing Chauvez as we owe Venezuela so much money .

This blog and/or the people who express their ideas here look very much to me like a bunch of "righties" whose only concern is to protect their meals, their current position in life. There isn't one single comment about Zelaya's rights to let the world know about the corruption going on in Honduras, how the world just watched the military bastards overtake a country's control without acting to prevent such a disaster for modern society. As usual, all of your comments here are nothing but those of frustrated inmigrants living overseas.

Yo davinci...
You fail to mention that Zorro was trying to change the constituiton for only his benefit and that the legislative and judicial branches of the existing Honduran government did not cede to Zelaya's wish. The military did not have anything to do with the situation over than follow the direction of the people's government.
The disaster would have been to let Honduras become like Cuba or Venezuela.
My eating and/or my position in life have nothing to do with Zelaya being allowed to live here in the DR. Vaya con dios, senor Z.

Glomarexplorer,
Caramba ! .......your right Mr. Z just p-ass-ing threw.

Davinci,
There's corruption everywhere ! especially in Castro's Cuba and Hugo-a-go-go's Venezuela only there you have ONE who controls it all.....and who believes he knows whats best for all, you probably support him cause you and many can't make decisions for yourself.

Regarding those righties.....when your right your RIGHT !

I have plenty of Honduran friends here in California who are glad Mr. Z is gone bye bye.

Are you on the Cuban or Venezuelan Socialist diet ?

Tell my lost friend Belial I said QUE PASA !
