SANTO DOMINGO.- The Pilot Adriano Jiménez, who went missing more than a year ago after taking off from Santiago’s Cibao International Airport, together with 10 Dominicans who traveled illegally to the Bahamas, is allegedly conducting commercial flights between Colombia and Jamaica, with another name.

The pilot now calls himself Alan Restrepo, a common last name in Colombia, according to the missing airplane’s owner, Luis Perez, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

He said his plane, a Trislander registry N650LP, was seen several times painted a different color in Mariquita Airport, in Tolima, Colombia.

The journalist Rafaelina Bisono interviewed Perez in the program on Telemicro channel 5, said who said it’s the first time he speaks on the case considered mysterious from the onset, because no wreckage of the crash was ever found.

What happened to the passengers ? I find it unlikely that many people could find complete new identities and families that keep their mouth closed .....Were they killed ?

Those passengers are dead and the pilot even stole the plane. Sounds typical in the DR. A country run by criminals for criminals.

Veronica, you are correct. There is no way that all the families involved could keep a secret, and since they have not heard a word from there loved ones, chances are they where disposed of (and burried) on an Island. After all, these passengers all paid "premium dollars" in advance for their trips to the Promised Land (aka USA). The pilot is not sleeping well at night these days, now that his cover has been blown. Look for him to have an unfortunate accident soon. Why has the Insurance company that covered the aircraft, not found this plane? One would think they would have their feelers out on this case.

I don't suppose any of us are shocked by this news, or even totally doubt its veracity.
