SANTO DOMINGO.- Puerto Rico’s Police Chief dared the fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto to also offer RD$30 million for his head, as he did with the local Police Chief, and predicted his arrest within the next few days.

Jose E. Figueroa Sanchez said Puerto Rico’s entire resources are ready to arrest Figueroa Agosto and his Dominican paramour the also fugitive Sobeida Felix.

The official, who came to the country to sign an agreement with local Police against crime and drug trafficking in the region, noted that Figueroa Agosto escaped from a Puerto Rican penitentiary and affirmed that’s where he’ll end up.

I wonder what the Puerto Rican police chief is going to do once the offer is in. Maybe get together and fake death and collect the money from the "fugutive" that they both had in prison and let go for some reason. Esto esta como el cuento de el burro diciendole oreju al conejo. They can't catch and keep people in a tiny island now they want to expand they territory go figure that one.

Maybe they just want Figueroa Agosto or his lieutenants to call the la Z radio station again, so they can get some newer and warmer leads.
By these public declarations what it seems is, that they want him to start moving from where he his hiding, if he is moving he poses a bigger target than in some hideout.

They will not catch him hes in the DR enjoying himself. He owns half the political system and his drug trade is still running smoothly. He is once again making a mockery of the DR and how easy it is to do whatever he wants. More egg on the faces of corrupt DR officials who can easily accept the money at whatever cost to the rest of the country.

Whether this fugitive is caught or killed is not the most important factor in this never ending saga. The more that people obsess with bringing this man to justice they lose track of the most damning issue in this entire sordid mess. That being, how can a man buy out every branch of the Military, Judicial and Political institutions of an entire country and in such a relatively short amount of time. Perhaps much is being done to capture this fugative but how much is being done to curtail the implausible wave of "activities" that were committed through his operations from happening again? What is being done to repair the sullied reputations of these "for purchase" institutions and their enablers? Do any of you think this was a single one-time event and that a cataclysmic change in the way things are done is now in effect or do you think the store will remain open for all institutions to be purchased for those with the money to buy them?
