Santo Domingo.- None of the politicians of the city of Bayamón who in the mid 1990s asked then governor Pedro Rosselló to pardon the convict Jose Figueroa Agosto sought to learn of the serious crimes he committed, said yesterday one of those implicated.

The representative Antonio Silva, ex Bayamón mayor Ramon Luis Rivera, his son and current one Ramon Luis Rivera and the ex representative Carlos Lopez said they spoke for the convict, known as “Junior Capsula,” because they had met and appreciated his father.

Moreover the ex mayor of the town Toa Baja and ex federal convict Angel “Buzo” Rodriguez and the ex representative Manuel Marrero also requested Figueroa’s release.

They all sent letters to Rosselló asking to pardon Figueroa and visited him several times in jail, where he was serving a prison 209 year  sentence for the kidnapping, torture and murder of Edgardo Martinez “Nandy el Gruero.”

Just for the record:

The daddy is a business man and activist financial contributor in the PNP!

This isn't a surprise...Puerto Rico claims to be superior at times because of their American colonial status...but we all know it is just as corrupt and messy as any other hispanic country...The boricua politics on the island get on their knees for America and screw their own people and many do what they can to benefit from their little "under-the-table" deals with other politicians and street bosses...Since figueroa was going to become a Dominican problem they didn't give a shit because they wouldn't have to deal with him directly in PR territory....verguenza...as a boricua myself they should seriously consider just calling themselves american since America is rubbing off on them so much and in the process raping the little that they (puerto ricans/PR) have left.

to danny00...you obviously don't know anything about PR history...they did not come off planes asking for money....Ricans started coming to the City in search of better jobs and higher pay and because America needed people to work for low pay (we were the "first mexican cheap labor" if you want to think about it in that way)...but like any poor group of people you have to move into the shit holes...they were shitty buildings when ricans got there...they formed gangs because blacks and italians were attacking them...welfare became a problem after people started getting lazy....not all puerto ricans are that way but many of the urban ones are...There are plenty of Dominican people on welfare so please don't start the welfare BS...There are plenty more Dominicans in gangs and hey let's check out washington heights where you have some of the "shitiest", low life, embarrassing Dominicans...of course every country has it's embarrassments and faults, no one is without that so let's not point

the finger at anyone...This isn't "youtube" or "elfoketo.com" where you post ignorant childish comments...base your argument on facts and not ignorance...it's people like you who give other dominicans a bad name...If you have a problem with Ricans fine, but don't go off babbling in order to make yourself feel better because you only look like an ignorant ass
