SANTO DOMINGO.– Antinarcotics (DNCD) agents assisted by U.S. Marshals last night arrested an alleged lawyer wanted in Vermont, United States, on charges of trafficking undocumented people from Central America and the Caribbean, including Haitian children to that country.
The DNCD said on Friday that Jorge Torres Puello, who hid in Dominican Republic after he reportedly used the country as a bridge to take Haitian children to the U.S. after the January 12 earthquake, is also wanted in El Salvador and Costa Rica.
In a statement the Agency said Torres was detained in the parking lot of a MacDonald’s restaurant in the Dominican capital Santo Domingo, with an ID in the name of Jorge Torres Orellana
The case of the Dominican national first made headlines when Haiti authorities arrested 10 alleged American missionaries on charges of kidnapping 33 minors out of their country, and all but one were released by a judge in Port-au-Prince several weeks ago.

Good prospect to try out the new water boarding techniques, and the jell night stick remedies. LOL.
