Santo Domingo.– The National District Office of the Prosecutor on Tuesday afternoon seized a villa, a yacht and a luxury apartment allegedly owned by Arturo del Tiempo Marques, being held in his native Spain on charges of trafficking 1,200 kilos of cocaine shipped from Dominican Republic.
The villa and the yacht were seized in Casa de Campo, La Romana (east), where del Tiempo Marques also has real estate properties, just three days after the confiscation of an apartment in a tourist zone in Samaná (northeast) on Saturday, property of his son, Arturo Marques Manzarbetia.
The Assistant DAs proceeded under court order and have seized four properties including the luxury condo building in Santo Domingo, Torre Atiemar, among other belongings.

And who laid out the PURPLE CARPET for these NARCO-Developers?
Who opened the government Bank so the could wash their Dirty Money?
Who gave them a government loan when no private bank would?
Who gave Dominican residency when with a dubious business past?
Who was in charge of vetting these "fine" foreigners before they had access to his "Excellency"?
Inquiring minds want to know and the Dominican people have the right to know, to these and a thousand other questions!
PS
Has anyone checked for Sunland money, $130,000,000 dollars to be exact? Maybe Mr.Arturo del Tiempo Marques lifted the check from LIE-onel night table "without him knowing it!"

Actually, seizing assets without some sort of trial or investigation is sort of chilling. What would happen if someone is mistakingly identified? Do they just take the assets first and then maybe give them back later?
The article says allegedly owned. They do not even know for sure.

Todo es posible, en el pais de las maravillas.... In the DR, big cash buys big respect. There are hundred of examples in the country. Included in these figures, is the Honorable Carlos Andres Perez, also a resident of Casa de Campo. Whoever said CdC was "snakepit with glittered walls" was correct. Most of the dirty money folks have nice places at that address.

More importantly, it goes on to say the far reaches of where narco-trafficking extends its influence. Even more, how the drug trade is far more than what meets the eye. Everyone has their opinions and personal facts. However, the true facts are that more and more public and prominent figures are being tied to this trade. Makes you think if the war on drugs is really a war.
And still even more, there were studies done that found traces of cocaine on an extremely high percentage of US currency. This signals that a majority of all US dollars in circulation have at one time or another been in contact with DRUGS. So that dollar you have in your pocket might have been laundered by some mexican cartel underling or such.

Here, let's have a smart guess ------------> How much of the US $ that are drug related and circulated in the DR's market?
My guessing is 30-40% of the DR one year budget, and that is:
US $ 8 billions x 30% = 2.4 billions US Dollar to $8 billion x 40% = 3.2 billions US dollar
That is scary........ who benefits these? GO Figure.... guys...

Seizure laws are tough in the US also. There was a man that had a private plane charter service that was flying someone into the US. When he landed the DEA arrested the passenger that had chartered the plane, arrested him and seized the plane. He was not involved in any of the passengers dealings and this was the first time he had flown this person anywhere but he lost his plane, and then his business because he had no plane. He had to spend a lot of money on lawyers and it took years to clear up and in the end they did not give compensation for his loss of business or anything else. He had to sue for that and suing a federal agency ios not an easy thing. With seizure laws it is more guilty until you can prove otherwise kind of thing.
Not saying that these people in the DR are not guilty, I do not know the situation well enough to comment one way or the other on that.
