Santo Domingo.– A Dominican man linked to Puerto Rican drug trafficker Jose Figueroa Agosto was killed in a prison fight, authorities said Friday.

Jose Gabriel Arias Castillo, arrested in possession of 293 kilos of cocaine, is the third man associated with Figueroa Agosto who has been slain in the country since last September.

According to Prisons director Manuel de Jesus Perez Sanchez, a thorough investigation will be carried out to determine the circumstances surrounding Arias Castillo’s death inside La Victoria penitentiary.

This Prison is exceptionally dangerous.( La Victoria)Soon as you walk inside the gates. Prison Individuals are stationed (inmates) not gaurds check your pockets openly. You attempt to buck and Man up get fucked up.They (ROBB)take whatever you have upon entry. Later to be split amongst the gaurds who allow this shake down procedure to occur. First hand have witness the danger and crimes being committed in this place. A complete nightmare. Inmates walk around with machetses like we are free. Used for Cooking etc is reaseon government allow this insane practise. Then to my amazement the hookers are allowed to visit the holding cells for sex with those who can afford 200RD and or 6$ bucks. Drugs, Alcohol all desired is rampant. Gaurd told me if wanted satelite cable no problem it would be me paying the bill on time, pay installation, and 10$ a week. With this fee am allowed keep my cell phone. I have been in the most dangerous prisons in america and this place makes USP Terre Haute and US

USP ATL look like cupcake factories. This man should have never ever been placed there in the first place. Just as I should have not been placed there. I was innocent this time of charges. But , this extort attempt could have cost me my life as it did this gentleman. D.R. need close this death trap.

The news greatly surprised real estate agents, as these two "strengths" represented by the moral support of President Leonel Fernández and the Reserve Bank's financial sponsors served as arguments to "prove" that the project owner, Arturo del Tiempo Marques was solid and reliable to potential buyers.
