Santo Domingo.- The fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto had properties worth 80 million dollars, Dominican authorities told Puerto Rico news source end.com, based in San Juan and included farms, apartments and vehicles. It says he had become the Pablo Escobar of the Caribbean.

Figueroa was born in Puerto Rico, where he escaped from jail while serving a sentence of more than 100 years to take root in Dominican Republic, obtaining 15 lavish properties, luxury vehicles, ostentatious articles and the favors of “ebullient” women.

He has managed to thwart arrest by Dominican and United States authorities for more than one decade despite an intense manhunt,

After his spectacular escape from the prison known as Oso Blanco (polar bear) in 1999, Figueroa, known in Puerto Rico as “Junior Capsula,” obtained forged IDs in the name of Felipe Rodriguez de la Rosa, Cristian Almonte Peguero or Ramon Sanchez.

Local and U.S. authorities say he’s the top Colombia cocaine exporter to Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and the United States, and is also sought for money laundering and several murders.

The PLD-majority Congress has approved loans for US$2.05 billion and EUR9.4 million equivalent to RD$91.35 billion. In 2008 alone, the Congressmen approved US$549 million for the construction of road infrastructure, purchased eight Super Tucano airplanes, took on debt for the Pinalito dam and projects under the so-called Social Cabinet of the Presidency. In 2009, foreign borrowing reached US$720.7 million. The loans included US$272.3 million for the Coral Highway and the US$93.7 million for the Tucano airplanes.

No wonder LF says we have a bullet proof economy. He and his PLD and PRD cohorts have borrowed us into debt we will never get pay off. Not that they care.

El Caribe reports that in 2009, there were 26 approvals of loans, to the point some business leaders said the year should have been known as year of the festival of taking on debt.

And Lee-FLEA still hasn't been INVESTIGATED for the two kilos that his pilot had on him. None of this LOAN BORROWING would have happened if Leo had been properly questioned about the origin of the COKE. Let's question the person who let him go at that time. Only if this was done, all of Lee-FLEA's loans would be null and voided , because he would never had or could have been the president.

Its almost like the case going on now with Da Boriqua, we had corrupt officials then and now.

PLEASE LETS OPEN THIS CAN OF WORMS!!!!!!!!

juanb, investing in infrastructure and other important things are important to the development of an economy!, so those debts are gonna be paid off later on while the economy keeps growing. Don't complain that the PLD is "spending to much money" is better to spend on those things than nothing at all!.

I don't know, I've come to think Figue and Sobe might now be feeding on dandelions ..from the roots.

The executions recently performed targeted people that could prove dangerous to people in power. Let's say Sobeida was released on purpose...Let's say his "paramour" was there to greet her.

Let's say the whole story ended just there, so the great of this world might sleep in peace.

Or I might just have a helluva script for the next Oscar season.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must read!

This is now going into overdrive!

These allegations against the members of statehood party PNP currently in power are extremely serious!

It appears that Banistan’s buddies PNP in PR may fall quicker than his buddies in the PLD in DR.

CAPO BORICUA
