Santo Domingo.– Dominican police said they have arrested a Quebec man in connection with the case of a Quebec woma's murder in Dominican Republic.

The suspect reportedly held Ms. Gaudreault responsible for the death of a friend, who was electrocuted this winter while doing renovations at the woman's home. She was found dead in the bathroom of her ranch Thursday.

According to published reports, Louise (Luisa) Nicole Gaudreault, 54, was stabbed in the neck and chest areas with a pair of scissors. She had been living in the country for the past 25 years and managed a business renting horses to tourists.

Her 25-year-old son, who still lives in the Dominican Republic, was in Quebec on vacation at the time of his mother’s death. Gaudreault's body was found by one of her employees. According to reports, theft was a possible motive in the murder, but it is not yet known if anything was taken from the home.

Has it been verified that this Quebec man is a Dominican?

This sad event is at least a week old. This is sloppy editing and reporting as this same media reported the matter on April 3, then reports in this Saturday edition of April 10, the woman was found dead on Thursday.

DomincanToday needs to improve the quality of its news content.

Like I have said that the poor woman could have been killed by one of Canadian expatriates living in the DR.
Noone knows what these parasites do for a living and how they support themselves

What is this bird brain cousin of mine doing about it. If he can't stop crimes. He should step down and let some one with bigger testicles do the job.Let interpole lead the DR police and make them proffessionals instead of traffickeers of cocaine & drugs in general.

Almeyda Rancier, can you tell me what country has been able to stop crimes? It happens in the most "gentle" society. Yes, don't most of us wish there wouldn't be any crimes, and that we could all live peaceful lives?

The news about this story is that someone was arrested as a suspect, not that someone was murdered. This is just a follow up, ladies and gentlemen.

It is after they changed the headline. The original on was "Quebec Woman Murdered"

Thanks Gringo, regarding your comment about the change of the headline.

You would think the DT staff would have made a note at the bottom of the storyline the article had been updated and edited for content.

I have seen the police solve muders when they want to but how many times is someone murdered inthe DR and it is not important to the police.
