Santo Domingo.- Scattered showers with isolate gusts of wind will cool schedule the South region and the central part of the country Monday afternoon, according to the National Meteorology Office (Onamet).

Among the provinces which can expect rain are the National District and the mountainous areas of Santo Domingo, San Pedro in the east and San Cristóbal in the south central region.

Onamet said a humid Northeast wind from the North Atlantic and a squall located in the lower levels of the atmosphere will bring about the precipitation and a relief from the drought which affects the country since October.

Darn it, I was going to get there before the rains came this year. I want to see the rainy season. Even though the lightening scares the hell out of me, maybe it will help and I will become more saintly??? I will be there soon.

What wonderful rains. Came just in time to ruin a trip to the beach on Sunday. But the country needs the rain anyways. It would be nice to open a faucet and have water come out 24 hours a day. No more bano de aseo.

Professor,

I have been called worse!

What's the saying: There's no such thing as bad publicity. The only bad press, is no press at all!!
