Washington.– The General Secretariat of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Government of the Dominican Republic Friday signed an agreement on the work that the OAS Electoral Observation Mission will do for the general, congressional and municipal regular elections to be held on May 16, 2010.
OAS Secretary General Jose Miguel Insulza highlighted the long relationship the OAS electoral observation missions have had with Dominican democracy and expressed this would be the fourteenth election the OAS observes in the country.
Insulza said it is "up to us to verify elections in these processes and we evaluate the norms and policies of each country. We always want elections to be by secret ballot, to have a good turnout, to have options and that they be contentious, because democracy is precisely that."

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
If it's the same software that kept Ole Dubya in office for eight long miserable years..."THE FIX"...Is In!!!
It will all appear above board on the day so the OAS will happily report a "democratic" election and this time those who have bought their way into office will be able to live happily on the proceeds for 6 years.
