Santo Domingo.- The civic group Dominican Alliance Against Corruption (ADOCCO) on announced it received Tuesday  morning the information regarding the use of the slush fund known as Barrilito (little barrel), from the lawyers of 22 senators, of 25 charged with in the Administrative Superior Court.

In a statement ADOCCO said it obtained the documents after filing charges against PRD senator Jesus Vásquez and Ramon de la Rosa and Euclides Sanchez of the PLD. Seven senators had done so before that for which they weren’t charged.

“We received the information that the documents were provided for us today, and have fulfilled their responsibility because the senators understood they must act with transparency and unrestricted adherence to the laws which they draft,” he said.

ADOCCO Coordinator Julio de la Rosa said the documents will be analyzed to inform the country on the use of taxpayers’ money by the senators, “and we vow to proceed judicially against those who incur in irregularities.”

I have zero confidence in any enquiry ,,and I guess the rest of the country feels the same way ..the system of justice is totally inept . I suggest bringing in Rumpole of the Bailey to sort everything out .

Ricardolito this is what I am saying about the IMF loans. This is where the money goes. Not the public works projects.

The possibility of them all being clean is zero.

You would also have to believe that they would not willingly give up any incriminating evidence.

Consequently, the only conclusion can be that what they have turned over is a bunch of BS. (Which is all anyone expected, in the first place.)

jonboz ...that is a statement without any foundation and demonstrably incorrect ..you only have to look at all the works around the country to see the IMF loans are working well ,,you seem to think the IMF does not have any checks and balances and simply has no controls

THE statement above is soo true, And the IMF is a bounce of thieves...... they lend money to countries and then force the country to give them their natural resources when the country can not pay up... This is well documented........ Good Work JonBonz.......

If the money was not stolen everywhere else then no loans would be needed. This has been my point all along. Pay as you go. Also how much of the public works money actually goes to the works and how much is skimmed off?
So yes money stolen here is money from the loans.

I´ve posted it time and again, NO MORE AID TO DR!

No more loans, grants, subsidies, projects, Nada!

The country doesn´t need aid money if the politiqueros keep stealing it.

Help put a stop to corruption. Don´t write a cheque today!
