New York.- Iraq signed the joint declaration establishing diplomatic relations with the Dominican Republic on the level of non-resident ambassadors at the Iraqi Mission's headquarters in New York, the Website isria.com reports.
For Iraq the declaration was signed by its representative in the UN Hamid Al-Bayati, while Dominican Republic Ambassador to the UN Frederico Alberto Cuello did so for the Caribbean nation, the source specialized in geopolitics said.
While the Dominican Government has established diplomatic ties with other Arab nations such as Egypt, it’s the first time it does so with Bagdad.

Well Blu I'll rather get that oil from a less dangerous country in the economical sense, like Russia.
Talk about service to Country.
I happen to agree with Blutarsky. Let's hope Iraq can at least sell us some oil that way we can tell Hugo-a-go-go to NEVER MIND !
Well put....
Telemeco,
Not if we send Hugo-a-bye-bye, and invest large in Iraq oil and buy in bulk with a long term contract. I believe prices will go down. Who knows it may be cheaper then Hugo-a-oil-oil a year from now.
Are people really surprised that the DR would recgonize the "NEW IRAQ"...
The Hell with Iraq and Hugo.
Lets get a couple of hundered yolas full of garden hoses and empty oil cans and row our way out to the Gulf of Mexico a siphon up all the oil for FREE.
The ludicrous thing is that no matter how well you may put your case ,your posting will be eliminated if 5 people give you a minus and yet never a written disagreement. i am sure that the four of us would not be that small minded.
